Flavouring it naturally
This healthy recipe uses all natural ingredients to flavour the Granola. Cinnamon powder is used to add a subtle flavour.
This healthy Granola is sweetened naturally with goodness of honey. You can replace it will maple syrup if you prefer this instead. These natural sweeteners add a depth of flavour that normal sugar just can’t add.
Extra Virgin Olive Oil is used for its health benefits and antioxidant qualities and a small amount of salt is added to really bring those flavours alive.
Bake to add a crunch
After mixing all the ingredients together, the mixture needs to be baked to get that lovely crunch. Make sure to use a baking paper/parchment paper over baking sheet as it has a tendency to stick.
---
Mix the Granola really well after 8-10 mins so that it gets baked evenly from all over. Also, remember to keep an eye on Granola while its baking as it can quickly burn.
Also, remove Granola out of the oven as soon as its golden as it will continue to change colour even after its out of the oven.
The smell of freshly baked Granola is just irresistible, but hold on, you can’t eat it just yet, there is one final step left to finish it off.
Finish off with Raisins & Dried Berries
After baked Granola is out of the oven, mix it well and add raisins, dried cranberries and dried goji berries. These will not just add a chewy texture and offer extra sweetness, but also increase its nutritional value as they are also rich in antioxidants, iron and fibre and will boost your immune system.
