Step-by-step instructions with photos for Tomato Salsa:
• In a bowl add chopped tomatoes, chopped onions, Jalapeño peppers or green chilli, cilantro, chopped garlic, salt, black pepper powder, lime juice, mix well and keep aside.
• Heat a non-stick pan on medium setting.
• Add olive oil, garlic cloves, dried red chilli, peeled onion and tomatoes and cook.
• Remove dried red chilli when it changes colour and becomes a little darker to avoid it from burning.
• Cook garlic and onions till they turn golden brown.
• Cook tomatoes till they turn soft and their skin starts peeling and getting charred.
• Let dried red chilli, garlic, onions and tomatoes cool down.
• Add cooled dried red chilli, garlic, onions and tomatoes to a blender.
• Blend them to a coarse paste.
• Add this paste to the bowl of tomatoes and onions.
• Mix everything well.
• Cover and keep it in the refrigerator for at least 30 mins.
• After 30 mins mix once again and add to the serving bowl.
• Serve chilled with Tortilla Chips or any other savoury snacks of your choice.
